The cage takes 9 persons at a time
Each dive is 30 minutes long and after everybody had a first chance to dive, you will get the option of going again and again.
Air can be provided, but will only be during the last dives, bubbles tend to keep sharks further away from the cage and we want them to come as close as possible.
The boat takes 30 passengers - not so busy this time of year therefor not always full.
The trip starts from Gansbaai Harbour, past Danger Point abalone Farm and the famous Birkenhead Shipwreck, past Dyer Island - Penquin colony and Geyser rock Island - Seal Colony to Shark Alley, where the diving takes place.
You will get up to 3 dives, each of 30 minutes long, the boat will only return when everybody is happy and satisfied and dived enough.
If you only want to view, nobody onboard will force you to dive, it is only out of your own free will.
The boat will return at 2pm at the latest
Lunch is served at the lovely crewhouse and the DVD footage taken of the day will also be shown and you will have the option of buying it at an addisional cost of R350.00 including the best footage taken from the boat on the previous year.
Transport leaves at about 2:45pm at the latest. |
